January 07, 2010

This past year has definitely taken' me by surprise!! Last year around this time, I was packing up for Europe. Going on a 15 day trip w/ my bro and sis and a few of our friends. Trip of a lifetime.  :) We were able to go to Germany, Prague and Italy!! Italy was by FAR my favorite! I can't wait to go back there. Enjoy art, food and the people. Italy, might have the most beautiful people on the planet!! And can never forget our last night in Germany. All of us sharing a hotel room (to cut costs) and early early in the morning we hear an alarm going off. No big deal. Just a fire in our hotel!! We grab all our things, rush out of bed.. run down 21 flights of stairs.. meanwhile, firemen are running opposite us! Stand outside in FREEZING cold, w/ our pj's on. It was a false alarm. No real fire! But pretty adventurous.

So brings me to January of this year!! I am currently sitting in the International House of Prayer in Kansas, City!! Ummm.. what?!?! Not where I expected myself. As of last year, I was finished up a fashion certificate. I was wanting to become a stylist! Move to Milan. Work in the fashion industry. Design fabulous clothes! Work w/ beautiful people. Make an impact on that industry. Stand out! And here I am. In this prayer room that goes 24-7. That has not stopped since 1999!! I guess when you live your life in Christ and truly surrender yourself to him, your life takes unexpected turns!! But honestly.. I wouldn't have it any other way!

I moved out here in late September and my life has been flipped upside down! If you have not heard of the international prayer, then you need to check it out! www.ihop.org
It's a pretty intense place.

I found myself in a three month intensive internship! Surrendering my schedule, dreams and desires at the feet of Christ! I found myself falling in love w/ prayer and intercession. Even fasting! Contending for justice to be established in the earth!! For God to rend the heaven's and come down.

I've always felt this call of intercession on my life but never fully experienced what it looks like. There is just so much to share.. but I know this is just my first blog post! Many many more will come!!

But I just want to say hi to all of you and say thank you for reading this.. and I'm excited to see what happens thru these posts! Hopefully, it will encourage, challenge and bless those who read it!!
